Bombay Bicycle Club

After a decade-long absence, London indie veterans Bombay Bicycle Club return to Croatia for an electrifying performance at INmusic Festival #16! Formed in 2006, the band achieved early success after winning a battle of the bands competition, propelling them to the 2006 V festival stage. With a diverse sound blending folk, electronica, world music, and indie rock, they soared to the top of the charts with their fourth album ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’, earning a Mercury Prize nomination. After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2019, delivering their acclaimed album ‘My Big Day‘ in 2023. Their enduring creativity and reinvention make them a standout force in British guitar music.

Dublin’s dynamic quartet, Sprints, is set to ignite the INmusic festival stage with their vibrant post-punk vibes! Formed in 2019, the Irish band, led by singer-guitarist Karla Chubb, delivers raw and witty lyrics drawn from personal experiences, aiming to foster unity amidst societal struggles. Drawing inspiration from icons like Pixies and IDLES, their debut album ‘Letter to Self‘, released in January 2024 under City Slang, garnered widespread acclaim. With their electrifying performances and danceable yet honest tunes, Sprints has become a tour de force, selling out venues across Europe and the USA.

Norwegian electro-pop icons Röyksopp join the stellar lineup for the festival. Formed in 1998 by childhood friends Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, the duo skyrocketed to fame with their debut album ‘Melodi A.M.‘ in 2001, followed by the critically acclaimed ‘The Understanding‘ in 2005. Renowned for their innovative music videos and eccentric live performances, Röyksopp has garnered global recognition, earning two Grammy nominations and topping charts worldwide. Their latest venture, ‘Profound Mysteries‘, released in 2022, is a groundbreaking album triptych that delves into the enigmatic depths of the universe through a blend of music and surreal multimedia.

Indie rock band Gossip also joins the INmusic festival #16 lineup. Gossip is an American indie rock band with a funky punk soundtrack consisting of the charismatic singer Beth Ditto, guitarist Brace Paine and drummer Hannah Blilie. The band released their debut EP ‘The Gossip’ in 1999, their debut studio album ‘That’s Not What I Heard’ in 2001 and their second studio album ‘Movement’ in 2003, with Kathy Mendonça on drums. Afterwards, Hannah Blilie joined Gossip on drums and after the release of their 2006 album ‘Standing in the Way of Control’ the band broke through. The album earned a Gold Record Status in the UK and exceeded numerous audience records. Their follow-up album, ‘Music for Men’, released in 2009 brought unanimous praise from critics and countless fans around the globe. ‘A Joyful Noise‘ released in 2012 secured the influence and global recognition of Gossip in the years to follow. The band confirmed their split in 2016, but fortunately for many fans, Gossip reunited and announced their first new album release in 11 years ‘Real Power’ produced by Rick Rubin and set for release in March 2024. The album’s lead single ‘Crazy Again’ released in November 2023 consolidates their musical expression and the rebellious attitude Beth Ditto delivers in her performances.

The long-awaited Croatian debut performance by the charismatic trio at INmusic festival #16 in June 2024 is certainly not to be missed! Gossip will join the already impressive lineup along with previously announced music heavyweights The Smashing Pumpkins, The National, Hozier, Viagra Boys and many more!
