Firenze Rocks is a rock music festival that takes place annually at the Visarno Arena in the Parco delle Cascine in Florence, Italy. The 2019 edition of the festival goes down June 13th-16th.
DAY 1: FB event
The DREAM THEATER, BADFLOWER, SKINDRED, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS and TOOL on the opening day of the festival or Thursday 13 June 2019!
DREAM THEATER are back on tour in Italy to present their new album Distance Over Time released on February 22nd 2019 and celebrate the 20th anniversary of their fifth album, Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes from a Memory (1999).
In their career, the historic band formed by John Petrucci, John Myung, James Labrie, Jordan Rudess and Mike Mangini sold over 12 million records and received two Grammy Award nominations.
SKINDRED, on the other hand, have consolidated their position as one of the biggest British alternative metal bands with their new album Big Tings, released last April 27th. Тhe band has released 7 studio albums, 11 singles and 13 music videos.
The day will also be opened by US rock band BADFLOWER, whose debut album OK, I’m sick will be released on February 22 2019.
DAY 2: FB event
SNOW PATROL, ZARA LARSSON and MATT SIMONS were announced before ED SHEERAN.
Since their debut album Songs for Polarbears (1998), SNOW PATROL has accumulated an impressive number of critical and public successes (in addition to commercial ones), selling a total of 15 million copies worldwide, winning over 1 billion streams, 5 Platinum albums in the UK and Grammy nominations, BRIT Awards and Mercury Music Prize. In May the band released their latest album, Wildness, which contains the songs Don’t Give In, Life on Earth, What if this is All the Love You Ever Get? and Empress. The band is expected in Italy to sing all its greatest hits.
ZARA LARSSON is the new princess of world pop. The Swedish singer-songwriter gradually rose to prominence thanks to her debut album So Good (gold certificate), which is “the second debut album by a female artist with multiple streams on Spotify” totalling over 5 billion plays. The singer’s single Ruin My Life (today over 200 million streams) anticipates her upcoming album.
MATT SIMONS was the American artist star of the summer with his hit We Can Do Better (500 million streams, more than a million copies sold, gold record in Italy and for 2 months in Airplay’s top 10 in Europe). Matt Simons has released the new single “Made It Out Alright“, which precedes a tour in Europe and in the United States will be included in his new album coming out in 2019.
DAY 3: FB Event
THE STRUTS is an English rock band formed by Luke Spiller (vocals), Adam Slack (guitar), Jed Elliott (bass) and Gethin Davies (drums).
In a few years, they have been happily welcomed by the greatest icons of world rock-and-roll music. Dave Grohl even called them “the best opening band” the Foo Fighters ever had. The band has just released their second studio album, Young & Dangerous (anticipated by the single Body Talks con Kesha).

Firenze Rocks festival, now in its third edition, is preparing to repeat the success of the previous years which saw more than 350,000 visitors from all over the world and brought to the stage names such as Guns ‘N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and System of A Down.
